Christine Labaree
With over two decades in consulting, Christine Labaree has developed a passion for helping organizations and their executives demonstrate leadership, articulate corporate strategy, and interact effectively with key audiences. She has worked hands-on with teams at dozens of public and private companies of all sizes and stages as a senior advisor. And as managing director within consulting firms, she has led teams and developed and mentored the professional staff. She has also volunteered as a mentor for the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (co-mentoring 19 professionals) and for Northeastern University’s Roux Institute.
In 2014, Christine founded Evergreen Communications to provide bespoke communications and investor relations services to a select group of life science companies. Over time, she has discovered that many clients, colleagues and contacts have relied upon her as a sounding board as they explore what they want professionally and personally. As a result, Christine expanded the Evergreen offering to include professional coaching in 2018.
Experience and Education
Prior to founding Evergreen Communications, Christine was a Senior Vice President at MacDougall Biomedical Communications, establishing the firm's West Coast Office in 2011. During her tenure she served as a senior strategist for corporate communications and investor relations and led the implementation of integrated, multi-disciplined communications programs for a variety of public and private companies. Before coming to MacDougall, Christine was a Managing Director at the Trout Group, where she provided senior counsel on investor relations strategy to dozens of publicly-traded life sciences companies in the US and EU, establishing a broad network of relationships with institutional investors and research analysts, serving as the lead communications advisor for clients, and helping oversee firm operations. Christine came to Trout from Biocompatibles International plc, a medical device/drug delivery company, where she was Corporate Communications Director and managed US investor relations. She had previously been North American Marketing Manager for the company's Eyecare Division.
In earlier positions, Christine was Healthcare Group Manager at a Boston public relations firm, led media and government relations efforts for the American Cancer Society in New Hampshire, and served as a Research Assistant at Dartmouth Medical School on National Cancer Institute funded community-based cancer prevention and early detection projects.
Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame. She completed a one-year graduate program in business administration at Harvard University and the Co-Active Coaching Training Curriculum at the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), the oldest and largest coach training school in the world. She previously held Series 7 and 63 financial securities licenses.
